| The Optimistic Expectation of Chinese Wind Power Market |

| The CEO of Vestas Wind Power Systems Group Ltd., a Denmark wind power supplier, recently said that China had become the third largest market for Vestas following Europe and the United States in the whole world.
In the global wind power market, Vestas is one of the largest wind power companies, accounting for 23 percent of the global market share in 2007. Among the whole market share of Vestas 17 percent is represented by Asia-Pacific area.
"Although the share occupied by China in the global wind power market is not the largest, China will play a key role in driving the development of the world wind power market." The CEO of Vestas said, “China has become the important area for the future strategic development of Vestas.”
Vestas is planning to build three new plants in Tianjin, that is, control system plant, machinery equipment plant and foundry plant. Vestas already has four plants located in Tianjin, including generator plant, nacelle/shaft plant and two wind turbine blades plants. The plant of Vestas in Tianjin has begun to produce the V90-2.0 MW wind turbine that is the largest wind energy capacity in China. |
